In the February issue, read: How Ucipuci cheered up the bunny, helped a little bird learn a song, found the raccoon’s house, knitted mittens for the little mouse, and realized that helping others is easy.
On a beautiful winter morning, Ucipuci heard a commotion outside her window. Peeking her head out, she saw three beaver brothers who couldn’t decide how to share a gnawing-log.
– That’s mine! – shouted one of the beavers.
– I got here first! – grumbled the second.
– I had my eye on it a long time ago, – claimed the third.
The brothers started shoving each other, and one of the beavers said a very rude word out loud. Yuck! Ucipuci didn’t even want to repeat it in her head! The little owl found some modeling clay and shaped it into a large, red heart.
– Today, I will be a messenger of love and peace! – Ucipuci was firmly determined to reconcile the quarrelsome brothers.
