On March 22nd, at the “Tintnīca” cultural space of the Museum of Literature and Music, the Latvian Media Language Awards were presented for the first time to celebrate excellent and outstanding language use. In evaluating language usage, experts analyzed press publications and online media featuring content that is not only meaningful but also written in high-quality Latvian, as well as public media—TV and radio broadcasts.

A total of 76 nominees were submitted for expert evaluation. Media Language Awards were presented to 11 laureates across six categories, while eight others received incentive awards. Our magazine, “The Great Detective,” received one of the three main awards in the print media category, while “Avenīte” magazine was honored with an incentive award.
